The Olympic Stadium is a stadium with running track in Amsterdam, located on the Stadionplein in the western part of the Amsterdam Zuid district.
The stadium was in 1927 through the Voorburg architect Jan Wils on behalf of the NOC designed for the Summer Olympics of 1928. After 1937 it has expanded considerably and were it left longer used for major football matches and the home stadium of FC Amsterdam in recent years home games are played at the Bijveld. After the restoration, completed in 2000, the stadium was restored to its original state, it is used for small and large events and it houses some thirty independent companies. From 2005 to 2014 there was also a sports museum, the Olympic Experience Amsterdam. there can be 22500 people in. its used for olympic games.
